Using QR Studio

QR Studio is a free tool that generates static QR codes and printable templates in your browser. You may use it for personal and commercial projects, including the QR codes and files you create with it, at no cost and with no attribution required.

Who can use accounts

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Under 18, you may use the free static tools, which collect nothing, but not an account, unless a parent or guardian agrees and does it with you. If you collect details about children through a code, page or form, you must first get a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for what a code links to and for the content you put in it.
  • Do not use the tool to create codes that link to malware, fraud, or content that is illegal where you operate.
  • Only upload logo or background images you have the right to use. “QR Code” is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated.
  • Test every code before printing it at size or distributing it.

No warranty

The tool is provided “as is”. The built-in scan check is a best-effort guide, not a guarantee — always verify a code with a real device. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from use of the tool or of a code made with it.

Availability

The site is offered without any uptime commitment and may change or be discontinued at any time. Because codes are generated on your device, files you have already downloaded keep working regardless.

Accounts, plans and dynamic codes

  • The static generator and templates are free and need no account. Dynamic codes, business pages and other account features need you to sign in.
  • Paid plans run for the period you pay for. Each plan has its own limits, shown on the pricing page. They are enforced by our servers, and changing the way a limit is enforced does not change a price you have already paid.
  • A dynamic code is a service, not a file. It works while your plan is active. When a plan ends, features that need it stop working: schedules, country or device routing and split tests stop applying, and codes you can no longer edit keep their limits (expiry, scan limits and visitor gates) so your settings are never loosened.
  • All payments are final. Plans, add-ons and lifetime packs are not refundable once paid. Nothing renews by itself, so you are never charged again unless you buy again, and your data is always kept when a plan or add-on ends. A lifetime pack lasts for as long as QR Studio runs, for one person or business, with the same limits as the plan.
  • You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it. Keep your sign-in secure.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deleting it removes your codes, pages and data, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Business pages

  • A business page is public. You are responsible for what is on it, and you must have the right to use your photo, your name, and every detail and link you add.
  • Do not use a page to pretend to be another person or business, to send visitors to malware, scams or phishing, or to publish anything illegal, hateful, adult or misleading. Links to link shorteners and raw IP addresses are not allowed.
  • Anyone can report a page. We may hide a page, automatically when several different visitors report it or by our own decision, while we look into it, and we may remove it permanently or suspend the account if it breaks these rules. We will email you when we do, and you can contact us to ask for a review.
  • Payments. A Pay block only opens the visitor’s own UPI app or a payment service’s own page. QR Studio does not take, hold or move money, does not check who is being paid, and cannot reverse a payment. You must only ask for money for things you really offer, from people who know who you are, and only to your own UPI id or payment link. Using a bank’s or payment app’s name to look like it, or taking money for something you do not deliver, is fraud: we will take the page down, block the UPI id and link, and may share what we hold about the account with the police or a court when they ask in the proper way.
  • Every page shows who is responsible for it, a Report link and links to these terms. You cannot hide or change them. See how to report a page or send a complaint.
  • Pages on the Free and Micro plans stay visible for a fixed number of visits. When that is used up, the page is hidden from visitors until the plan is upgraded; you can still see and edit it.
  • If you switch on the leave-your-details form, you are the one collecting people’s information. Tell visitors what you will do with it, use it only for that, and follow the privacy laws that apply to you. You must not use it to send spam.

Other people’s personal data

When you collect details from other people through a code, page, form or pixel, you decide why and how that data is used, so under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act you are the data fiduciary and we act as your processor: we store it and pass it to you, and we use it only to run the service, never for our own purposes. You must have a lawful basis, tell people what you will do with their details, use them only for that, keep them safe, answer their requests to see, correct or erase them, and delete them when they are no longer needed. If you add tracking pixels (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta) to a code, you are responsible for any consent your visitors need. You can export or delete what you collected at any time, and we help you meet a person’s request if you ask. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your own data.

QR Sign (signing documents)

  • What it is. QR Sign puts an electronic signature on a PDF and seals the file so any later change shows. The seal is made by QR Studio. It is not a digital signature certificate from a licensed certifying authority and it is not Aadhaar eSign, so programs such as Adobe Reader may show the seal as “validity unknown”. We do not give legal advice. Whether an electronic signature is enough for a document depends on the law and on the document: some documents need stamp duty, registration, witnesses or a licensed digital signature. Checking this is the sender’s job.
  • If you send a document. You must have the right to send it and to give us the names and emails of the people you ask. They must expect to hear from you. Do not use QR Sign to send spam, scams, unlawful or harmful content, or to pretend to be someone else. Anyone you ask can report your request; we stop it and delete the file, and if several people report you, we may stop your account from sending requests or suspend it.
  • If you are asked to sign. By ticking the box and signing you confirm that you are the person named, that you have read the document, that you mean to sign it, and that the signature you place is yours. You agree to use electronic records and electronic signatures. You can decline or report the request instead.
  • Keeping and deleting. The file is deleted after the time the sender chose, by default 24 hours after the last signature, and we cannot get it back. Download your signed copy and the report before then. We keep a proof that the document was signed; see the Privacy Policy.
  • Plans and limits. Each plan has its own number of documents, file size, people per document and keeping times. A document you sign alone does not use up the documents you send to others. We may change limits for future use. Payments and refunds follow the rest of these terms.
  • No guarantee. We try to keep signing available and the seal valid, but we cannot promise that a time server, email delivery or a signer’s own device will always work. You are responsible for the documents you send and for the decisions you make using them.

Referral program

  • Any signed-in account may generate and share a referral link. No purchase is required to refer.
  • A reward is paid only when someone signs up using your referral link and completes their first-ever paid purchase on QR Studio. Renewals, plan upgrades, and purchases by an account that already paid before clicking your link do not qualify.
  • You earn wallet credit equal to a percentage of your referee’s first paid order: 25% for your 1st–2nd successful referral, 35% for your 3rd–5th, and 45% from your 6th onward. If that purchase is specifically the Agency plan, you also receive 15 extra days added to your own current plan.
  • Referral credit is not cash — it has no cash value on its own and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or gifted; it applies automatically toward your own future purchases, in INR only.
  • Credit applies automatically at checkout, up to a cap per plan: ₹15 on Starter, ₹35 on Pro, ₹79 on Agency. Credit cannot be applied to the Micro plan. These caps are the same whether you’re buying monthly or yearly.
  • Each referred account can only ever trigger one reward, no matter how many times it renews or upgrades afterward.
  • Referring yourself, using fake or duplicate accounts, or any other attempt to artificially generate rewards is prohibited and may result in forfeited credit and/or account suspension.
  • We may modify, pause, or end this program, or adjust reward rates and caps, at any time. Changes apply to future referrals; credit already earned remains valid unless the account is found in violation of these terms.
