What happens when someone scans it
The phone shows a contact card preview — your name, number, email and company — and offers to add it to Contacts. One tap and you are saved, with no app and no typing. Because the details are encoded in the pattern itself, it works offline and keeps working for as long as the card survives.

Every extra field makes the code denser and harder to print small. Include what someone actually needs to reach you.

Match your card's colours, add a small logo, and let the scan check confirm it still reads at card size.

Give the SVG to your printer and keep the code at least 2 cm square with a clear quiet zone.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a plain vCard QR code?
It is the same vCard format — this page is just set up for the business-card use case, with guidance on which fields to include and how to size it for print. Use the vCard generator if you prefer that framing.
Will it work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Both read a vCard QR from the camera and offer to save the contact. No app needed.
Can I update my details after the cards are printed?
No — a static vCard code is fixed. For details that change often, encode a link to an online contact page instead (a digital business card, on our roadmap).
How big should the QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 cm square, ideally in a corner or on the back, with a plain margin around it. Denser codes (lots of fields) need to be bigger — see the size guide.
Does the contact data get uploaded anywhere?
No. The card is built in your browser and the details are encoded directly into the QR. Nothing is sent to a server.
